Mike Turpen started recording 12 years ago at the age of 16. After playing in numerous bands around seattle and playing solo for many years, Turpen developed a writing style very much his own. When his passion for recording and production  became  stronger than his passion for performing, he enrolled in Full Sail’s respected recording program in Florida. At Full Sail Mike received extensive training on various large format consoles, programs, recording and production techniques, and MIDI programming by Grammy winning engineers. Graduating as the salutatorian of his class, Mike returned to Seattle to put his mark on the city that helped him develop his musical point of view. Believing that there is more to production than pristine sound and more to a great record than having great songs, Mike is devoted to making quality records that feel as good as they sound.
